Product Description The powerful super-potent compounds in Prostavar are clinically proven to dramatically reduce prostate problems in a variety of different ways. Prostavar works for you by restoring balance to your hormones. As you grow older, your hormones gradually swing out of balance. Testosterone goes down while levels of a "rogue" form of testosterone, DHT (Dihydrotestosterone), begin to rise. To your prostate DHT is a four-letter word. Like throwing gasoline on a fire, too much DHT in your body inflames your prostate, making it grow, and grow. Prostavar shrinks down your enlarged prostate

Been using this product for about three years, and generally happy about it. It works as good as proscar and the cost is far less.
A lot of hype and paid google search results makes me suspicious April 22, 2010 Ron Jamis (Portland Oregon) 17 out of 27 found this review helpful
You've seen this before. Someone pretends to be an impartial source of honest evaluation. You know, "We wanted to find out which one was the right one for you, so we hired an expensive lab to do all this testing and we are proud to show you the results." And of course the numero uno product is written up with accloades and superlative language while they pretend to be just as laudatory with product number two but there is always a slur or some kind of negative. Going to number three in the "top five", the language is still courteous as you can easily glean that the writers are pulling the wool over our eyes so sweetly. Now just how dumb do they think we are?
Sure, this could possibly be legit but one clue that they have a monetary interest in the sale of said "top rated product" is when you see the yellow highlight overlaid on top of the google search results (which always appears at the top of the page) it means that this so-called honest-injun website has paid to have their site appear at the top.
They pay Google for each single hit so you know there has to be something other than gracious benelovence behind their claimed gratuitious analysis and "lab testing" of all those less inferior products. Of course, there are "buy it here" links on these sites.
Clearly, these guys are NOT doing us a public service and because they are willing to pay to have us find their website which is supposed to be a neutral fact-finding expedition....well, go figure it out. I mean who wants to pay Google so that we're sure to see their "honest report of all those products" appear at the top of Google's search page? Does this make you wonder?
Then when you fish around the web you might find several other suspiciously very similar websites that use almost identical language or you find the same page layouts, the same font, the same tempo and writing style etc. Obviously, the same webmaster is the brains behind the scam. It just gets more suspicious with each discovery.
I have not tried this product and probably will not unless they have an ironclad guarantee and it promises a prompt refund (not a 60 day wait) if I return the product bottle partially or fully used for any reason. When I see this kind of promotion it makes me very suspicious which I realize might be a mistake becausse this kind of activity does not necessairly impune the product but at the same time, it surely does taint the cover page.
Be cautious.
No Help June 4, 2010 W. Coss (Manvel, Tx) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Took these tablets for a month and got no relief. Product is somewhat expensive considering I had no change. Maybe if I were willing to spend the dollars to give the product a 3 or 4 month trial there may be a difference. I opted to try another similar product which is about half the price, that allows me a little more room for trial. Can't give this product a thumbs up but would not say that it wouldn't help if it were taken over a longer period of time.

Didn't do a thing to help difficult urination for me, and I only have a mild case of prostate enlargement
